General Requirements

1. To be eligible you must be registered with a MAX Employment Disability Employment service.

2. For the 4, 13 and 26 Week incentives you must provide Details of employment# to your MAX Employment Consultant relating to each of these periods. This is required to ensure details of each employer are captured if you change jobs or have multiple jobs.

3. In addition to providing Details of employment# to your MAX Employment Consultant, it is important that each fortnight you report your earnings (or hours worked) to Centrelink at the Department of Human Services.

4. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and the Australian Government Department of Social Services ‘Disability Employment Services Grant Agreement, Effective 1 July 2018’ (the Grant Agreement), the requirements of the Grant Agreement shall prevail.

5. Without notice, MAX Employment reserves the right to change, halt, or cease this ‘Congratulations on starting work! We’ve got you covered ‘ initiative and associated payments.

6. You are encouraged to seek clarification from your MAX Employment Consultant if anything contained within these Terms and Conditions is unclear to you.

Specific Requirements

1. ‘Start’ $25 incentive - You must commence in a job that is defined as an Eligible placement*. You must provide the Details of your employment# to your MAX Employment Consultant within 5 days of starting the job.

2. ‘4 Weeks’ $25 incentive - Centrelink at the Department of Human Services determines your Employment Benchmark Hours. You must have worked, on average, these hours for 3 weeks over the 4-week period since starting the job.

3. ’13 Weeks’ $50 incentive - You must have worked your Employment Benchmark Hours, on average, each week over the 13-week period OR have generated sufficient income to cause your basic rate of Income Support Payment to cease.

4. ’26 Weeks’ $50 incentive - You must have worked your Employment Benchmark Hours, on average, each week over the 26-week period OR have generated sufficient income to cause your basic rate of Income Support Payment to cease.

Additional Information

*Eligible placement: Eligible placements are those that are expected to meet your weekly Employment Benchmark hours. Your employment must also not contradict the ‘Non-Payable Outcome’ Definition at Annexure A of the Australian Government Department of Social Services ‘Disability Employment Services Grant Agreement, Effective 1 July 2018’. Talk to your MAX Consultant to confirm your employment placement is deemed eligible for the purposes of this initiative.

#Details of your employment: employer name; position; start date; name of award and hourly rate; and expected and/or actual hours per week.
