Helping employers maintain a productive and supported workforce
We have varied and longstanding experience working with both small business and national organisations as employers, and maintain active connections with their ongoing and expanding needs.
We build relationships with each employer stakeholder: learning about their business, tailoring solutions to meet their needs, and developing our service over time through an iterative process.
We can support employers with more than just their talent requirements. Among other activities, MAX also supports their workplace health needs, improves disability confidence, supports diversity in their teams, and supplies vocational training and short courses to help their employees upskill.
A notable example of this broad service delivery is MAX’s work with our partner Cleanaway in the waste management industry. We have supported the Cleanaway team with a comprehensive and multi-faceted service. MAX understands their hiring needs and screens candidates for application and recruitment. We also perform ongoing health monitoring at sites to help protect employees against the harmful effects of any hazardous substances. When required, we also provide English language learning services on site to support staff who need this additional support.
Helping our employer partners source the right employees means looking at every step of the process: Reviewing recruitment methods and processes; Finding and developing the right candidate who is ready to work; supporting candidates’ interactions with the employer ensuring positive experiences; and delivering ongoing support to both employer and employee at work.
We increase employers’ confidence in hiring and working with employees with disability, through delivering training and support on a regular basis to organisations across the country. An example of this delivery is our connection with Amazon in Australia. By providing a cohort of Amazon management staff with group disability confidence training, we prepared them for organisation hiring a number of successful MAX candidates with disability. MAX health officers and job coaches attend Amazon work sites through regular scheduled visits, providing continuous support.
Employers can benefit from the exclusivity of posting vacancies within our customer-facing platform MAXConnect, where all customers in our Workforce Australia and Disability Employment Services (DES) can maintain up-to-date personalised information about their skills, preferences, location and other factor, and link to suitable available jobs in the system.
MAX Health delivers a number of workplace health services to our client organisations. Services to workplaces include early intervention and injury treatment (nurse triage services), work-related medical assessments, medical advisory services and fitness for duty services.
Our Employee Assistance Program also provides an effective guidance and support service for our clients’ employees delivered by qualified psychologists and social workers.
Our training teams support employers to upskill sections of their workforce. These could be soft skills such as Job Confidence, Digital Literacy, Introduction to Retail, and others. Or we can provide training extracted from larger vocational courses: for example, we are able to deliver the disability-focused units from our Individual Support course to improve disability knowledge and confidence.
Our aim is to ensure employers maintain a productive and supported workforce. MAX continues to expand the range of services we can offer to employers and create deeper, more meaningful partnerships to support their needs and those of their employees.
