Employees from MAX have chosen 4 local charities across Australia to receive $10,000 each to support their work in supporting community.

MAX’s charitable arm, the MAX Foundation, makes regular donations to worthwhile causes, with employee contributions matched dollar-for-dollar by the company.

In its latest round of donations, the MAX Foundation has donated $10,000 each to Defenders for Hope, which supports families of domestic violence situations, homelessness charity Sleep Bus, Project Kindness which supports people living below the poverty line and youth empowerment charity, JCP Youth Tasmania.

The donations will help:

  • Deliver important supplies through Defenders for Hope to families in Logan who have been affected by domestic violence.
  • Support Sleepbus to provide immediate refuge and somewhere safe to sleep to people who are experiencing homelessness.
  • Provide comfort and security such as bedding and blankets, food hampers and clothing through Sydney based Project Kindness
  • Help fund community activity programs and empowering camp programs for young people in the Tasmanian community through JCP.

MAX Country Manager, Darren Hooper said:

“It’s amazing to see the impact these donations will be able to have in supporting these charities to do what they do. There are many people in the community who depend on the people who work in these organisations.

“The people who work in our business care deeply about the causes that we donate to through the foundation. Supporting and helping people is the purpose our employees share and is part of why they come to work at MAX.

“The MAX Foundation is driven by its members and the causes they are passionate about.”

The MAX Foundation is dedicated to helping communities across the country. It provides grants to charities that support vulnerable communities, including disability, mental health, homelessness, migrant services, community support, employment and more.
