MAX appoints Dr David Milecki as CMO and announces new Health Division

MAX has today announced the appointment of one of Australia’s leading clinicians, Dr David Milecki, as its Chief Medical Officer. 

Dr Milecki has over 32 years’ experience in primary medical practice in occupational health, medical assessments and general practice, with extensive expertise in developing and managing system and outcomes based medical programs and in training medical practitioners in a wide range of medical assessments. 

He performs the Chief Medical Officer advisory role for several large organisations, including Ambulance Victoria, the CFA, Boral Australia, Melbourne Water, Holcim, Citipower/Powercorp and Essential Energy. He is a member of the Australian Medical Association, the Australian Medical Review Officer Association, and is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

His appointment as CMO comes along with the establishment of a new MAX Health Division, following further rapid growth in demand for its medical, allied health and assessment services.

Dr Milecki has extensive expertise in developing and managing system and outcomes based medical programs, as well as training medical practitioners in a wide range of medical assessments. 

Dr Milecki joined MAX after it acquired the Injurynet business he founded. He said: “I am honoured to be appointed CMO of MAX and look forward to utilising my medical expertise within the wider business whilst continuing to provide medical services to our existing Injurynet clients and their staff.”

MAX provides a wide range of physical and mental health services, on behalf of different levels of government and employers, to Australians looking for, or returning to, work all around the country.

The company last year delivered more than 29,000 individual health sessions, a year-on-year increase of 32%.

MAX today also announced that it is creating a new Health Division within the company. MAX’s health service, which includes its assessment services, EAP programs, pre-employment, health monitoring medical services, injury management services and medical advisory support to businesses, will become part of the new Division, alongside its health support services for those looking for work.

MAX Solutions Chief Operating Officer, Darren Hooper, who takes Executive responsibility for the new Division said:

MAX General Manager of Injurynet, Nicole Ryan, and General Manager for Assessments Australia, Scott Laing, will report directly to Mr Hooper. 

MAX has a workforce of around 350 allied health professionals, a team of doctors and nurses, and a network of over 6,500 medical and allied health practitioners around the country.
