MAX Solutions was awarded contracts to deliver English language, literacy and numeracy learning through the Australian Government’s Skills for Education and Employment Program (SEE), and will work with Navitas English to deliver the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) and SEE program in several regions across Australia.
Both SEE and AMEP provide adult learning opportunities supporting job seekers and new migrants to build the vital skills needed to participate in their communities and the Australian workforce.
MAX Managing Director Deborah Homewood said that increased literacy and numeracy skills were the key to many job seekers achieving their employment goals.
“Poor language, literacy and numeracy skills can be significant barriers when it comes to finding sustainable employment.
"These services will support job seekers, newly arrived migrants and humanitarian entrants in developing skills that will help them to participate economically and socially within their communities," Ms Homewood said.
"We want participants to be engaged, so taking a person’s culture and individual circumstances into consideration is also key to delivering flexible and inclusive services.
"This can be a huge factor when it comes to transitioning into a new workplace or social environment and integrating into a community," Ms Homewood explained.
