Last week MAX Employment held official opening events for the Melbourne CBD, Brunswick and Glenroy offices. The office openings were a great success, with the offices filled with employers, job seekers, representatives from community organisations, training providers and the Department of Social Services.
MAX Employment is commitment to finding jobs, changing lives and as part of this commitment made a $1500 donation to a local charity at each opening.
The Melbourne CBD office donated funds to Fitted for Work - an organisation that provides a suite of free programs specifically designed to help get women facing disadvantage into work. The Brunswick office donated funds to Headspace – a youth health service for anyone aged between 12 and 25, and the Glenroy office donated funds to Mind Australia – a leading provider of community mental health services who support clients on their path to recovery.
The Melbourne, Brunswick and Glenroy offices have placed 10, 9 and 17 job seekers into work (respectively) since opening in March. MAX Employment Director of Operations, Leisa Hart said this result was significant and demonstrated the effectiveness of working together with job seekers, employers and community organisations to achieve a successful outcome.
