MAX is delighted to announce the latest nominations for its Employer of the Year Awards.
The annual awards recognise outstanding businesses that encourage inclusivity and diversity in their workforce. Previous winners include Woolworths and Compass Group.
This year, we’ve opened the award to medium and small employers, as well as large employers, to recognise the full impact of our employer partners on local communities.
Nominations for this quarter include MAX employer partners in industries ranging from facilities services and architecture, to public services and swimming pool services.

MAX is nominating employers in each quarter for its Employer of the Year awards, across three categories of employer partners – large, medium and small. In a few months, it will announce the overall 2020-21 Employer of the Year winner in each category.
Spotless continued to provide national leadership in diversity and inclusion over the year, with a deep commitment to attracting and retaining Australians of all backgrounds and demographics.
Edmen Community Staffing Solutions has demonstrated a consistent commitment to diversity and inclusion. Providing exceptional ongoing support and flexibility to MAX customers to ensure that they have every opportunity to succeed in their roles.
Recruitment services business, Kali Group, has employed a significant number of MAX customers in West Australia, including around 50% from Indigenous backgrounds. The Group provides extensive post-placement support to its team members to make sure they feel supported in the workplace.
Traralgon-based restaurant, LaPorchetta, encourages a diverse, supportive and friendly culture – a strength that has led to glowing reports from the MAX customers employed at the business.
Pool and spa specialists, Swimart Shellharbour has grown significantly over the last year. During this time, their support to a MAX customer who was struggling with mental health issues was outstanding.
Modinex, an architectural business headquartered in Ipswich, are an exemplar employer. Demonstrating outstanding support and flexibility to staff from many different backgrounds to allow them to flourish.
Bunbury Harvey Regional Council has employed MAX customers from a variety of backgrounds and demographics and demonstrates considerable leadership in fostering a ‘people-orientated’ background’.
